Business Insurance Names Hylant Group One of the 2010 Best Places to Work in Insurance

TOLEDO, Ohio, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Hylant Group, one of the largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms in the nation, was recently honored by Business Insurance magazine as one of the 2010 Best Places to Work in Insurance.  The Toledo-headquartered company was one of 17 repeat honorees on the list recognizing 54 insurance industry companies.  

The Best Places to Work in Insurance award is a joint effort of Business Insurance and the Harrisburg, Pa.-based Best Companies Group (BCG).  The assessment involves a two-part evaluation.  The first part, which accounts for 75% of a company's score, entails a confidential 76-question employee engagement & satisfaction survey.  This survey takes into account employees' workplace experience and the company culture.  The second part, used to compile the remaining 25%, assesses the company's benefit programs, policies, practices and other general information.

Peter B. Burke, president of BCG, said that the companies honored this year "are indeed innovators and the ones other companies use as benchmarks."  

All of the companies will be recognized at an event featuring an educational program and awards luncheon in September in New York.
