Business Plan Competition Semi-Finalists Announced

Cash awards of $5,000 first prize, $3,000 second prize and $2,000 third prize will be awarded. Just as important are the advice and feedback participants receive from the judges, who traditionally include early stage investors, venture capitalists, bankers and other experts. On March 31st they will interview the semifinalists and choose three finalists to present their plans publicly on Monday, April 11th in the recital hall of the Bertolon School of Business on the Salem State University central campus from 3 to 6 pm. The public is invited to attend.
The Competition has gained recognition and support from the business community over the past seven years. "Entrepreneurs are powerful, but often unheralded economic engines of our local economy and workforce," remarked Christine Sullivan, CEO of the Enterprise Center, the primary sponsor of the competition.
