CA Technologies Names Peter Griffiths to Head Technology and Development
Executive Has More Than 20 Years Experience Leading Development Teams
ISLANDIA, N.Y., May 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CA Technologies (NASDAQ:CA) today announced that Peter Griffiths has been named executive vice president of its Technology and Development Group. Griffiths, who has more than 20 years experience in research and development, will join CA Technologies at the end of May and will report directly to CEO Bill McCracken.

Griffiths comes to CA Technologies from IBM where for the past two years he has been vice president of Worldwide Research and Development Business, Analytics and Applications. At IBM, he also has held the post of vice president, Products, IBM Cognos Software.
Prior to the acquisition of Cognos Inc., an Ontario, Canada-based provider of business intelligence and performance management software by IBM in 2008, Griffiths served in a number of senior roles at the company including senior vice president, Products; vice president, Research and Development; and, vice president, Decision Platform.
He joined Cognos in 1998 when his firm Relational Matters LLC, a data analytics company, was acquired. At Relational Matters he served as president and chief executive officer. Griffiths has also held positions at KPMG IT.
Griffiths succeeds Ajei Gopal who is leaving CA Technologies.
