CA Technologies is enabling SPs to sell cloud-based services with a sustainable financial model that helps them drive revenue and efficiencies which can help build margin. The solutions and products also help SPs pursue this growth by allowing them to tailor their offerings to highly targeted customers, spanning large and small enterprises, and even consumers.

Turnkey Cloud Computing Platform for SPs

Available today, the latest version of the CA AppLogic® 3.0 turnkey cloud platform,  offers an application-centric, fast and easy approach for delivering infrastructure, tools, applications and virtual data centers in the cloud. SPs can use the CA AppLogic platform to add new revenue-driving services—independent of hypervisor technology—with dramatic speed, flexibility and choice.  

CA AppLogic software sets a new standard for fast business service creation with support for multiple hypervisors in the same grid, including VMware ESX and Xen. This enables SPs to address more customers and architectures, and allows enterprises to protect their investments in VMware.

Additional new CA AppLogic features include:

• Global Fabric Controller: adds detection and inventory functions to radically simplify installation and help enable SPs to reduce operating costs.
• Open Virtualization Format (OVF): enables SPs to import workloads from VMware or Xen with a standards-based interchange format to simplify the delivery of new services and leverage existing investments.
• Role-based Access Controls: users and user groups can have distinct access levels to the system to help improve security and ease-of-use.
• International language support: now available in English, French, German, Spanish and Simplified Chinese.

CA Automation Suite for Clouds 1.0: helps SPs maximize efficiencies by enabling automation of the service delivery process and of existing heterogeneous infrastructure including Cisco UCS, VCE Vblock infrastructure platforms, NetApp, VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, IBM LPARs and more. It supports end-user self-service and provides a catalog of applications and services that can be accessed through a secure, online portal, allowing the SP's staff or clients to provision the resources needed to create and support desired services. Integrated, cloud-enabling capabilities include a self-service portal, on-demand provisioning, dynamic resource and workload management, service metering and billing, and role-based security.

CA NetQoS® Unified Communications Monitor 3.2: allows SPs to offer voice and video management services, which helps SPs to ensure one of the most critical business services that IT supports. It also offers support for medianet-enabled Cisco devices, which helps organizations address and manage the 'consumerization of IT' and the rapidly growing use of video in the enterprise.

CA Business Service Insight 8.0: this enhanced product is based on further development of CA Oblicore Guarantee™. It helps SPs manage and report on their service level commitments in clear, meaningful business terms. This transparency helps to reduce customer churn, improve customer close rates and reduce over-provisioning.

CA Cloud Market Accelerator Program for Service Providers

Today CA Technologies also unveiled its CA Cloud Market Accelerator Program for Service Providers, offering SP partners tools and resources for co-marketing, sales enablement and collaboration. The initiative is designed to support SPs through the process of developing and delivering cloud service offerings, helping to contribute to their success.
