Cadwalader Partner to Discuss Dodd-Frank Impact on FCPA and Recent FCPA Developments in Live Webcast

The webinar will examine the impact of the whistleblower provisions under the Dodd-Frank Act on Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) issues and investigations.  The panel will take an in-depth look at this topic and related issues, including the new SEC whistleblower rules and their implications for FCPA investigations, recent court decisions on FCPA violations and guidelines on implementing a compliance program. Joining Avergun at this event are Douglas Small, Managing Director at Capstone Advisory Group LLC, and Manny A. Alas, Global Co-Leader, FCPA Practice, New York Leader, Forensic Services Practice at Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

She has successfully represented both companies and senior executives in internal investigations, matters before regulatory bodies including the SEC and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and in civil and criminal matters in federal court. Avergun has also designed and implemented compliance programs for a variety of her clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Avergun was a senior official in the Department of Justice, where she served as chief of staff of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and in several leadership positions within the Criminal Division and the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York.
