Calling All Skateboarders: Cricket Wireless Hits the Streets of Los Angeles with Street League Skateboarding Legend P-Rod

WHAT: The Street League Skateboarding (SLS) tour is coming to Los Angeles, and Cricket Wireless, the event's exclusive wireless partner, is kicking off the weekend with engaging activities in the city to interact and meet the face of street skateboarding Paul Rodriguez (P-Rod).

Rodriguez is the latest Cricket brand ambassador and is on a mission to get fans excited about the best pro street skateboarders competing in the skate mecca of Los Angeles at SLS. Cricket encourages skateboarding enthusiasts to take it to the streets by showing off their best tricks and support fellow skaters at upcoming Los Angeles event locations in the coming days (details below). As skateboarding's most prestigious professional competitive series, SLS brings the sport's best street skateboarding to a worldwide fan base.

Cricket also donated 100 tickets to this Sunday's SLS competition to area youth via Jovenes Inc. and greater Los Angeles area YMCA branches, providing access to skateboarding and to SLS for the local community.

• Thursday, July 24 (12:15PM – 1:15PM): Autograph signing and "selfie" opportunity with Rodriguez, Cricket Wireless (5900 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90038)
• Thursday, July 24 (5:00 – 7:00PM): Skate and hang out with Rodriguez, Boyle Heights Hollenbeck Skate Plaza (415 S. St. Louis St, Los Angeles, CA 90033)

Both Cricket Wireless events with Rodriguez are open to the public and free of charge. Street League Skateboarding takes place this Sunday, 7/27, at the USC Galen Center, 3400 S. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90089. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased on www.streetleague.com.
