The survey was completed by nearly 1,000 health-minded, active women and found that more than half make it a point to "spring clean their diet" by eliminating unhealthy foods as the season changes and warmer weather approaches. Out of those respondents, 89 percent take stock in their diet in spring in order to lose weight and feel healthier overall.

When asked what they plan to eliminate from their diet this spring, 47 percent of respondents plan to remove sweet treats, while 27 percent plan to reduce fast food and 18 percent plan to reduce soda consumption. In addition, 66 percent of respondents plan to incorporate protein and fiber in their daily meals with 51 percent of the survey participants choosing protein as the top nutrient to keep them energized. Furthermore, when it comes to being active during the warmer season, 49 percent of survey participants are motivated to get in shape because of their personal health goals.
