Camber Corp.'s Dr. Stephen Gunter Selected To Speak at I/ITSEC 2013

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Camber Corporation's Modeling Simulation and Training Division (MSTD) has been selected by the Education Subcommittee of the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) to present a paper at the 2013 conference, to be held in Orlando, FL, December 2nd -5th . This year's conference theme, Concepts and Technologies...Empowering an Agile Force, is embodied by the paper, Evaluate Training and Performance Effectively, Quickly, and Inexpensively Using the Situational Judgment Test (SJT).
SJTs have been used to measure training effectiveness, leadership skills, judgment, and interpersonal skills. Camber uses a low-fidelity SJT as part of three tests it manages for the Veterans Benefits Administration's Skills Certification Program. The design of SJT items includes scenarios that one may experience on the job, along with a set of possible responses, and asks how the employee would respond.
Dr. Stephen Gunter will present the paper on behalf of Camber's Assessment Team. Dr. Gunter is Camber's expert in psychometrics and test design, development, and validation, especially the theory, measurement, and application of SJTs. At Camber, he is responsible for the development of test blueprints and the accuracy and psychometric evaluation of tests. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Central Florida (UCF).
The Assessment Team provides the full range of assessment services, including job/task analysis (JTA); blueprint/test specification design; facilitation of development of test items, as well as test item maintenance; modified Angoff cut score determination and training on implementing standard setting; web-based test administration, worldwide; test results reporting; and psychometric evaluation of test performance.
