Cambridge College School of Management Program Hosts a Panel Discussion On Trends and Opportunities In Health Information Technology

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., April 10, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Cambridge College's School of Management will host a panel discussion on the growing Health Information Technology (HIT) job market and career opportunities in health care organizations.

"Current Trends and Opportunities in Health Care Informatics," will feature a presentation and panel discussion focusing on the growing influence of electronic health systems and health information technology within the industry and for users, as well as the impact this will have on the demand for HIT professionals.  

The keynote will be delivered by Ray Campbell, an attorney and former Executive Director & CEO of the Massachusetts Health Data Consortium (MHDC).  Mr. Campbell's expertise in the fields of health information technology, health information exchange, health data and analytics, and health care reform policy makes him uniquely positioned to provide valuable insight for this discussion.  He will explain how the passage of the HITECH provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, along with over $11 billion in incentive payments paid to Medicare and Medicaid providers through the Meaningful Use program, have transformed the health care and HIT landscape. Following his presentation, human resource professionals representing some of Boston's top health care organizations will share their perspectives on trends for recruiting and developing the talent needed to support these changes.
