CAMDEN, Maine, June 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Greg Dufour, president and chief executive officer of Camden National Corporation, is pleased to announce that Jennifer Roper has joined Camden National as vice president and director of marketing, communications and research. Roper is based in the Main Office in Camden, and will oversee all aspects of marketing and communications for the organization. She will report to Deborah Jordan, executive vice president and chief financial officer for Camden National Bank.

Roper has vast experience in all areas of marketing. She comes to the bank from John Hancock Financial Services in Boston, Massachusetts, where she served as director of marketing and communications for their distribution arm, John Hancock Financial Network. Roper led John Hancock Financial Network's creative team and was responsible for its marketing strategy, brand management, sales promotions, change and organizational management.

Roper is a graduate of the University of Maine in Orono and has a Masters degree in public administration from Suffolk University in Boston, MA. She is originally from Falmouth, Maine, and has strong ties to the local community in Camden.
