WHAT: Metro Detroit leaders in art, education, media and politics will converge for a spirited community dialogue around the question: Can Art Rebuild a Community?

WHO: The Metro Detroit panelists are:

Charles Pugh Detroit City Council President and former news anchor at Fox 2 Detroit

Stephen Henderson Senior Editor for the Detroit Free Press and former co-host of the PBS-TV Show "Am I Right?"

Michelle White Founding Principal of Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies and a former founding teacher and principal of University Preparatory Academy in Detroit

Sioux Trujillo Detroit artist who has worked for 13 years as an artist and administrator, directing two non-profit Detroit community arts programs and curating public art exhibitions.

James Ryan Director of Communications and Corporate Marketing for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services will serve as moderator.

WHEN:  Wednesday, April 27: reception at 6 p.m.; panel discussion at 6:30 p.m.; art tours of the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services building at 8 p.m. featuring the work of students from Cranbrook Academy of Art and Metro Detroit artists.
