TORONTO, Dec. 17, 2013 /CNW/ - Growing bigger and bigger each year, THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW's 3rd annual "10 Days of Giveaways" averaged 265,000 viewers on CTV, making it the most-watched MARILYN giveaway specials ever. The 10 days of record-setting giveaways and inspiring gift guides aired for two full weeks beginning Monday, Dec. 2 through to Friday, Dec. 13 on CTV and CTV GO. Overall, MARILYN's "10 Days of Giveaways" delivered 15% more viewers than its season average, and grew double digits with the key A18-49 (+12%), A25-54 (+17%), F18-49 (+10%), and F25-54 (+20%) demos. Last Thursday's (Dec. 12) episode attracted 320,000 viewers, making it the most-watched single day audience ever for the giveaway specials.
Featuring special daily prize giveaways along with Marilyn's must-see personal gift guide, overall, Marilyn.ca attracted more than 1.2 million total page views during the "10 Days of Giveaways" extravaganza, up 40% versus last year and becoming a new high for the giveaway specials. "Who doesn't like to make people happy during the holidays?" said Marilyn Denis. "I could feel the pure joy, anticipation, and energy from the audience even before I walked into the studio. And then to see the priceless reactions on their faces was pure magic. It's exactly why I love doing this show."
Throughout the 10 days, Marilyn and her team of lifestyle experts and celebrity guests including Katy Perry, Donnie Wahlberg, and Jamie Oliver, presented more than 100 different gifts. With audience members taking home 10-12 gifts per day, the value of the giveaways totalled $865,826.50, a new all-time high for the giveaway specials. Some of the wonderful gifts given out this year include $1,000 Sunquest vouchers, Leon's Furniture Kingsdown Paradise Queen Mattress sets, Adams Golf Tight Lies Fairway Drivers, Birks Pearl Earrings, Kindle Paperwhite E-Readers, and more.
