Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Western Regional Medical Center Receives Accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers

The hospital's commitment to high-quality care and multidisciplinary treatment establishes it as the only nationally accredited breast center in the state of Arizona.

GOODYEAR, Arizona- Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) at Western Regional Medical Center has received accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers® (NAPBC), a program overseen by the American College of Surgeons. This accreditation is only given to premier treatment centers that exemplify high-quality care and a demonstrated commitment to providing evidence-based, multidisciplinary breast care to patients.

NAPBC is a consortium of professional organizations dedicated to the improvement of the quality of care and monitoring of outcomes of patients with diseases of the breast. NAPBC's evaluation process is nothing less than rigorous, requiring proof of an established commitment to high-quality and multidisciplinary care to patients, evaluation on 28 different NAPBC standards and a comprehensive review of overall clinical performance and quality-of-care benchmarks. Dean Nora, MD, FACS, the NAPBC surveyor who evaluated Western's comprehensive breast program in March of this year, recognized Western's compliance with all 28 NAPBC standards during his evaluation of the CTCA patient-centered care model used at Western.

During the NAPBC site survey, Western was recognized for offering innovative, advanced technologies and therapies to provide state-of-the-art multidisciplinary care for both breast cancer and benign breast diseases.
