Canine Companions® Celebrates National Service Dog Month with Live Puppy Cam, Including a Snoopy Cameo
Nine-Day Puppy Cam Livestream Gives Viewers an Inside Look at a Future Service Dog's Journey, September 22–30
SANTA ROSA, Calif., Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- September is National Service Dog Month and Canine Companions®, the nation's first and largest service dog organization, is inviting people across the country to celebrate the extraordinary partnerships between service dogs and people with disabilities, while getting an adorable look at where those partnerships begin.
From September 22–30, Canine Companions will bring back its popular Puppy Cam, offering a live look inside the organization's puppy nursery as future service dogs play, learn, snuggle and take their first steps on a journey that could one day transform someone's life. As an extra treat, the iconic Snoopy will stop by to get "paws-on" with the puppies and take a closer look at what it takes to become a Canine Companions service dog.
Puppy lovers can sign up for the free Canine Cam Kit for early access to exclusive puppy content, a sneak peek with the Meet the Puppies preview video, free downloadable goodies, and updates on Puppy Cam events, including when Snoopy will be stopping by.
Canine Companions' Puppy Cam is one event in a series of community outreach gatherings happening all across the country as part of #PuppyNation, where communities are hosting events to give supporters and volunteers the opportunity to meet Canine Companion puppies in-person and learn more about the organization's mission.
"National Service Dog Month is an opportunity to celebrate not only our extraordinary dogs, but the people whose lives and independence are at the heart of our mission," said Paige Mazzoni, CEO of Canine Companions. "When people tune in to Puppy Cam, they're seeing much more than adorable puppies. They're seeing the very beginning of a journey that takes years, an incredible community of volunteers and professional training, all with the goal of creating a partnership that can open doors to greater independence."
