Cannabis World Congress in Los Angeles Delivered Business Connections, Education & Media

Kicking off the CWCBExpo in LA were three powerful Keynote Speakers, starting with the rallying cry of Ethan Nadelmann of the Drug Policy Alliance for California to become a true global leader in responsible cannabis regulation.

Award winning songwriter and singer, Melissa Etheridge, shared her personal journey with marijuana and received a standing ovation for her inspiring words on the positive power of cannabis and bringing the recreational and business worlds together. 

Iconic businessman, George Zimmer, founder of Men's Wearhouse, zTailors and GenerationTux.com, delivered a Keynote Address that strongly talked about how the perception of marijuana needs to be de-demonized and that those in the business must not forget that they need to create meaningful lives while making a profit.    

As the classroom to the industry, the CWCBExpo in LA conference program began with the well-attended workshop Marijuana Investor Summit and included the Cannabis Careers & Job Fair, and the certification program for "How to Open a Cannabis Business."

The sessions on Sept. 17-18 covered five essential tracks for business growth and success including Creating Your Business; Running Your Business; Business Growth; Industry Leaders; and Cannabis Future.   Popular sessions included "Capitalizing on the Senior Market While Providing a Service;"  "Road to Legalization in California;" "Banking, Payment Processing & Cash Management;" "Edibles: Food Safety & Regulations;" "What Women Want from the Cannabis Industry;" and discussions on the emerging industrial hemp market.
