Capital CDC Provides SBA 504 Financing for Solid Rock Brewing, Austin-Area Craft Brewery

AUSTIN, Texas, July 23, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On a back porch in 2011 with some beer samples for courage, Solid Rock Brewing was formed.  Founded by three couples, Solid Rock Brewing is a production Craft Brewery located on the south shore of Lake Travis in Spicewood, Texas.

Craft beer is experiencing a nationwide resurgence and Austin is at the forefront of the craft movement in Texas. Austin is quickly moving up in the lists of top craft beer cities and was recently ranked #6 by the Huffington Post. Topping 48 other states, in 2012 the Texas craft beer industry contributed over $2.3 billion dollars to the Texas economy according to a study released by the Brewers Association (BA), a national non-profit trade association representing independent craft breweries in the United States. A forecast by the Texas Craft Brewer's Guild predicts that Texas craft breweries will have an annual $5.6 billion overall economic impact by 2020.

Solid Rock will release Big Drought Stout, a classic Irish Stout in September 2014 and Trinity Vanilla Milk Stout early 2015.
