Capital Forensics Appoints FINRA Surveillance Director as Executive Vice President

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill., Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Capital Forensics, Inc. (CFI), provider of compliance consulting, expert testimony, litigation support, and data solutions for financial institutions, announced today that Kamran Fotouhi has joined their leadership team as Executive Vice President and Managing Director. As part of CFI's leadership, Mr. Fotouhi brings vast regulatory and compliance expertise which will broaden the firm's accelerated growth and invaluable resources.

Mr. Fotouhi has spent his 20-year career in the financial industry predominantly advising on compliance-related matters. Most recently, Kamran worked at FINRA as Surveillance Director for the Dallas District. In that role, he identified and addressed current and emerging risk, while monitoring member firms' compliance with applicable rules and regulations.  

Prior to FINRA, Kamran was the Compliance Liaison for First Clearing, a Wells Fargo division, where he advised and collaborated with senior leadership of correspondent firms, legal, compliance, and outside vendors.  He spent several years with Wachovia Securities as Assistant Vice President in the product compliance unit. 

Kamran's career began as an Assistant Portfolio Manager for First Commercial Capital Management and then as a Financial Consultant for Merrill Lynch. He later became a Senior Compliance Examiner for the NASD and a Compliance Auditor for USAA Investment Management Company.

Mr. Fotouhi earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from San Diego State University and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He holds Series 7, 63, 65 and 24 securities registrations. He is also a member of the Dallas CFA Society.
