CapTech Food Fight Raises More Than $55,000 for Feed More

RICHMOND, Va., Dec. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In its 6th annual CapTech Food Fight, CapTech Richmond raised $55,469 for Feed More, more than doubling their fundraising efforts over the 2017 campaign. This friendly fundraising competition among CapTech consultants will help provide over 221,800 meals for neighbors who struggle with hunger throughout Central Virginia. The check presentation will take place at Feed More's campus on December 18.

In its 6th annual CapTech Food Fight, CapTech Richmond raised $55,469 for Feed More, more than doubling their fundraising efforts over the 2017 campaign. This friendly fundraising competition among CapTech consultants will help provide over 221,800 meals for neighbors who struggle with hunger throughout Central Virginia.

The CapTech Food Fight for Feed More is part of the CapTech's National Food Fight, an annual fundraising campaign where each of CapTech's eight offices compete to raise the most funds per capita for their local food bank. This year, the campaign raised over $115,000 for local food banks across the U.S. Launched in 2013, the program has donated a combination of food and funds, providing more than 420,000 meals locally over the past six years.

With one in seven neighbors, or close to 200.000 individuals, struggling with hunger, Feed More collects, prepares and distributes food to neighbors in need across 34 counties and cities in Central Virginia. Through programs like Meals on Wheels, the Mobile Pantry, Kids Cafe and weekend Back Pack program, and Feed More's network of nearly 300 agencies, last year Feed More distributed more than 21 million meals to neighbors in need across the Commonwealth.
