McCorkle will be based in the firm's Atlanta office and focus primarily on providing retirement plan advisory and consulting services to corporate fiduciaries. An experienced ERISA lawyer, he will also deepen the firm's resources for helping clients with fiduciary governance issues.

A frequent speaker and writer on issues concerning qualified plans and employee benefits, McCorkle comes to CAPTRUST from Hewitt EnnisKnupp where he was a partner. Previously, he was a partner at Arthur Andersen and a law partner and trial attorney in Washington, DC. As a lawyer, he handled a wide variety of cases involving ERISA issues.
