Cardiac Science Wins Contract to Supply 400 AEDs to Fire Departments in Chile

WAUKESHA, Wis., March 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cardiac Science, a global leader in the manufacturing and marketing of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for the public access, education, police, and fire and rescue markets, has won a contract to supply Powerheart G3 Plus AEDs to fire departments in Chile. The two-year agreement with the National Board of the Fire Brigades of Chile (Junta Nacional de Cuerpos de Bomberos Chile) covers a minimum of 200 AED units each year.

The Board, based in Santiago, oversees 311 fire departments in Chile. The organization will distribute the units to fire department buildings and first-response vehicles.

The Powerheart G3 Plus AED's features, including Rescue Ready®, RescueCoach™, and STAR® biphasic technology, are designed to make responding to a cardiac emergency as simple as possible.

Training and support for the new units will be provided by Ferexpo, one of Cardiac Science's distributors in Chile.
