Cardinal Plumbing Heating & Air to host first-ever community blood drive

Trusted home service provider is partnering with the American Red Cross for the Oct. 14 event

The home services company is partnering with the American Red Cross to host its first-ever community blood drive on Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will take place at Cardinal Plumbing Heating & Air's headquarters in Sterling, with a goal of filling 54 donor slots. Each donation has the potential to save multiple lives, providing critical support for hospitals and patients in Northern Virginia and across the nation.

According to the American Red Cross, someone in the U.S. experiences a medical crisis requiring an infusion of blood every two seconds. Blood donations ensure that there is a ready supply, ensuring life-saving care is available to patients who experience cancer treatment, traumatic injury or chronic illness.

Cardinal hopes the event will become a regular occurrence while also inspiring other regional businesses to get involved in supporting lifesaving causes.
