ATLANTA, April 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- CardioMEMS, Inc., an Atlanta-based medical device company that has developed and is commercializing a proprietary wireless sensing and communication technology for the human body, announced today that the Company's Vice President of Information Systems, Richard Powers, has been named a finalist for the 2013 Georgia CIO of the Year Award^® in the Corporate category.  The awards, presented in affiliation with the Georgia CIO Leadership Association, recognize CIOs who have contributed to their company's growth and business, as well as have been activity evolved in their community.  The 2013 Georgia CIO of the Year Awards will be presented at a breakfast gala on Friday, November 1 at the Cobb Galleria Center.
