CarePoint Health Establishes Partnership with Shiel Medical Laboratory
HUDSON COUNTY, N.J., June 26, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CarePoint Health, a fully integrated healthcare system that provides quality, patient-focused healthcare to residents of the Hudson County region, and Fresenius North America, through its subsidiary Shiel Medical Laboratory (Shiel), a reference laboratory offering clinical, anatomic pathology and molecular testing services to the greater New York and New Jersey area, today announced a strategic partnership. Under the arrangement, CarePoint and Shiel will provide outreach laboratory testing services to physicians, nursing homes and other providers within the CarePoint Health System and beyond.
This new partnership with Shiel complements CarePoint Health's efforts to implement clinical and business best practices across its network of providers by ensuring a continuity of quality care. Further, it enables CarePoint Health to remain competitive as an agile health system. Shiel brings a team of experienced sales, laboratory, and information technology professionals to collaborate with CarePoint Health to explore all opportunities in the Northern New Jersey market, continually evolve operational efficiencies, care coordination and ultimately offer the highest quality patient care.
In partnering with Shiel, CarePoint Health is able to offer enhanced laboratory outpatient services to its network of physician practices.
