Carmel-based Mainstreet Announces the Creation of 3,000 Permanent Jobs and 8,400 Temporary Jobs in Indiana over next three years

CARMEL, Ind., Feb. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Mainstreet Property Group, one of the nation's most innovative health care developers, known for developing desirable, hotel-like rehabilitation and therapy properties, has announced a significant pipeline of 2014-2016 planned Indiana development projects.  These projects will combine to create 3,000 permanent jobs and 8,400 temporary jobs in Indiana, and will have a financial impact to Indiana of an estimated $3 billion.

In 2014 alone, projects currently underway in cities including Lafayette, Terre Haute, South Bend, Kokomo and Indianapolis will create approximately 2,500 construction jobs, 850 permanent jobs, and have a total economic impact of over $850 million.  A complete list of the 2014 under-development projects is below.  Cities where Mainstreet intends to grow in 2015 include Carmel, Dyer, Bloomington, Crown Point and others.

Already, over the last five years, Mainstreet has developed 10 properties in Indiana communities including Wabash, Crawfordsville, Westfield, Avon, Lawrenceburg and Mishawaka. This was the result of an investment of more than $125 million by Mainstreet, and created 1,400 new permanent jobs, 3,500 construction jobs, and had an economic impact of nearly $1.3 billion. By the end of 2014, Mainstreet expects to have created more than 8,000 permanent and temporary jobs in the state of Indiana, placing it among the state's largest creators of new high-quality jobs.
