Carmelo Cinqueonce hired as new Executive Director at Minnesota Dental Association
MINNEAPOLIS, April 24, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Minnesota Dental Association has hired Carmelo Cinqueonce as its new Executive Director. Mr. Cinqueonce began his new position on April 23, assuming management and leadership responsibility for the 3,000-member state dental professional association.

Mr. Cinqueonce has worked in the non-profit arena for over 17 years and has a wealth of experience in legislative/regulatory affairs, healthcare policy, strategic planning and coalition building. He holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts College of Management, Boston, and a BA from Framingham State College, Framingham, Massachusetts.
MDA President Dr. Michael Zakula praised not only Mr. Cinqueonce's strong association management experience, but also emphasized that he possesses significant experience working with legislative and regulatory bodies. Mr. Cinqueonce was previously the CEO of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association where he directed the operations of the statewide professional society and its related entities, including the Carolina Pharmacy Network, a for-profit subsidiary, and the South Carolina Pharmacy Foundation, a charitable corporation. In this role he led a comprehensive government advocacy program to effectively influence state and federal legislative and regulatory bodies, including successfully lobbying for legislation sustaining Medicaid payments for pharmacy providers and legislation expanding pharmacists' scope of practice. Prior to this position, Mr. Cinqueonce served as the Executive Vice President of the Massachusetts Pharmacists Association, directing all aspects of the statewide pharmacy organization. In addition, he established the Massachusetts Pharmacists Association Foundation, founded the Pharmacy Journal of New England, and founded and oversaw coordination of the New England Pharmacists Convention.
Mr. Cinqueonce resides in Hugo, Minnesota, with his wife, Elizabeth, and three daughters.
