OMAHA, Neb., Feb. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Carson Group, which consists of wealth management firm Carson Wealth, advisor coaching organization Peak Advisor Alliance, and turnkey integrated partner Carson Institutional Alliance, today announced the establishment of the Carson Group Advisory Council. The inaugural advisory council, scheduled to meet in March, was born out of Carson Group's desire to strengthen the firm's long-held commitment to providing exceptional value, innovation, and thought leadership to the advisors it serves and, by extension, their clients. The council, consisting of several high profile influencers and key strategic partners within the wealth management and advisory space, affords an additional vantage point to help drive the expansion of the Carson Group platform. Merging this expertise with input from Carson Group's advisors aligns with the firm's mission to inspire bottom-up innovation.
"We're extremely fortunate to bring such a high caliber group of trailblazers together who provide various dimensions of expertise, knowledge, and perspective to Carson Group," said Ron Carson, CEO and Founder of Carson Group. "The members of our council each lead firms of their own through transformational change and have significant impact on disrupting the profession. Who better to help guide our firm in an evolving landscape than those who are as committed to advisor growth as we are."
Council members joining the Carson Group executive team include Eric Clarke, CEO of Orion Advisor Services; John Furey, Principal and Founder of Advisor Growth Strategies; Kate Healy, Managing Director of Institutional Marketing at TD Ameritrade Institutional; Matthew Schulte, Senior Vice President at eMoney Advisor; Lowell Putnam, Co-Founder and CEO of Quovo; Todd Cassler, President of Institutional Distribution at John Hancock; and Jon Wagner, former SVP and Chief Architect at eMoney Advisor. Each council member will serve for a term of two years. The group plans to hold one in-person meeting per year with the potential for more frequent interaction on an ongoing basis.
"Our focus on helping Carson Group advisors grow has never been sharper," said Aaron Schaben, Managing Partner of Carson Institutional Alliance. "Combine that with the quality of our council members and the intimate forum we've created, and you have the ideal environment for cultivating meaningful change and forward-focused innovation."
"As a company, we believe in the benefits of having a healthy dose of proactive paranoia, both in terms of the value we provide to advisors and the position we hold in the market," said Laura Pierson, Managing Partner of Peak Advisor Alliance. "Incredible things happen when you're able to gather strong partners and industry pioneers in one place, all with a singular objective of reinventing and improving your business. We look forward to seeing that opportunity unfold and to having these thought leaders participate in the conversation as we lay the groundwork for the future of our firm."
