Cartoon Network's "Move It Movement" Tour Highlights Weekend of Fun at Wildwater Kingdom

AURORA, Ohio, July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Kids and parents alike will not want to miss the Northeast Ohio stop of Cartoon Network's "Move It Movement" tour when it stops at Wildwater Kingdom on Sunday, July 31.  This high-energy event, full of goal-kicking, half-piping and three-point challenges targets youths ages 6-14 by encouraging, promoting and educating families on exciting ways to lead healthy and active lifestyles.

The "Move It Movement" tour is part of Cartoon Network's award-winning efforts to provide support and encouragement in the ongoing battle against childhood obesity by promoting various activities including daily recess, health and wellness education and active after-school involvement.

Families planning to visit Wildwater Kingdom on Sunday will be able to participate in the "Move It Movement" tour and can enjoy a host of activities including:

NBA/WNBA FIT Activity Zone: Allows kids to demonstrate their fitness level through basketball drills;

PGA Chipping Challenge: Kids can put their golf skills to test on a mobile chipping/putting green;

Crayola: Kids can have fun exercising their imagination and their minds by creating outdoor art, sidewalk games and original art masterpieces using various Crayola products; and

NFL PLAY 60 (powered by HOPSports): Introduces kids to various physical activities and exercises via the screen-based HOPSports system featuring NFL PLAY 60 content and martial arts.

To kick off this weekend's events, WQAL Radio and a specially-wrapped Pepsi van will be in the park on Friday, July 29 offering chances to win some great prizes. Guests will also be able to cool off with free samples of Pepsi products throughout the day.

On Saturday, July 30, the park will offer after-hours fun with a dance party and a Dive-In movie.  At 8:30 p.m., Wildwater Kingdom will re-open for a party on the wave pool deck.  After that, guests can enjoy an evening under the stars, watching The Goonies on the big screen while floating around the wave pool or relaxing poolside in a lawn chair.  The movie will begin around 9:30 p.m.  Admission to the nighttime activities will be $10 for adults and $8 for season pass holders.  (Wildwater Kingdom will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
