Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare unveils plans for Oregon's new community-centered campus offering integrated healthcare, wellness and affordable housing

PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- With the announcement of a half million dollar leadership gift from FamilyCare Health, Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare's campaign to redevelop Cascadia's Garlington Center reaches $1.7 million in contributions toward a $3.5 million philanthropic campaign goal. Building a Culture of Caring is Cascadia's fundraising campaign for Oregon's new home for integrated health and wellness.

Dedicated to improving the care and health for those in need, Cascadia has embarked on the capital redevelopment of its Garlington Center. The redevelopment establishes a new center for integrated primary care, behavioral health and wellness services and a 4-story, 52-unit affordable apartment building. Construction for the redevelopment begins in summer 2016 with the goal to open in fall 2017.

Cascadia launches its philanthropy program and campaign efforts under the leadership of Deniz Conger, CFRE, who has a successful track record in campaign, major gift and leadership development.

The campaign is supported by the Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare Board of Directors with 100% participation. Gifts and grants include $500,000 gift from FamilyCare Health, a $100,000 grant from the Mitzvah Fund of The Oregon Community Foundation, a $250,000 grant from Meyer Memorial Trust; a $250,000 anonymous gift; and $50,000 from the Mitzvah Fund of The Oregon Community Foundation. Pacific Continental Bank and the CommuniCare Club of Caitlin Gable School provided generous support. The building effort is made possible by a $1 million property donation from the Glazer Family.
