CatCon® And Friends Celebrate National Cat Lady Day
Debunking the Cat Lady Myth, One Chic Cat Lover at a Time
LOS ANGELES, April 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CatCon® - the convention with cattitude - announced today that Wednesday, April 19th will be officially recognized as the first annual "National Cat Lady Day," a celebration of cat ladies everywhere.
"The notion of the cat lady as a dowdy spinster has shifted dramatically over the past few years," said CatCon creator Susan Michals. "Now it's chic to be a cat lady! Designers like Stella McCartney and Kate Spade are using cats in their designs, and celebrities like Dita Von Teese, Ke$ha, and Kate McKinnon are embracing their love of the feline with enthusiasm!" As further proof, CatCon released this video to showcase just how much cat ladies have changed.
In regard to CatCon, Michals further added: "Just a look around the convention floor shows you the inimitable style, sass, and character that CatConners bring to their cat-loving lifestyle. They celebrate their cat lady-dom!" Joining CatCon to celebrate the day are influencers and companies like Catladyland, Cat Lady Box, Moshow the Cat Rapper and Cat Nouveau.
