Holly Safford, founder of Boston-based company, The Catered Affair, enjoys telling the story of how she founded her business with nothing more than "a toaster oven and a glimmer in her eye." From her humble beginnings in a home kitchen without a license, to what is now a thriving business with 350 employees and $14.5 million in annual revenues, Safford unquestionably represents the strength of the industry.
