Cat's Pride® Announces "Couple of the Week" National Media Promotion Featuring Katherine Heigl, Actress And CEO Of The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation™

CHICAGO, April 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cat's Pride® announces a national "Couple of the Week" promotion as part of the launch of the new Cat's Pride Fresh & Light Ultimate Care® lightweight litter. The "Couple of the Week" (catspride.com/couples #CoupleOfTheWeek) photo contest runs April 15 – June 14, 2016 and encourages cat owners to share the unique relationship they have with their cat. The promotion is part of the new "Cats are Complicated. Great Litter is Simple." campaign which features award-winning actress Katherine Heigl, best known for her roles in "Grey's Anatomy," "27 Dresses" and "Knocked Up," as a recurring character—a cat/owner couples therapist. In partnership with the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation™, Cat's Pride is donating a portion of sales proceeds from their new Fresh & Light Ultimate Care® products to benefit the Foundation.

Participants can enter once weekly and are asked to submit a photo of themselves with their cat, along with a story of what makes their relationship complicated online at catspride.com/couples.

• One winner will be chosen weekly and entries will be judged for originality, creativity, authenticity, relationship complexity and entertainment value. Seven weekly winners will be selected for a $1,000 prize each.
• A weekly second place prize will also be rewarded with a year's worth of free Cat's Pride Fresh & Light Ultimate Care lightweight litter.
• One grand prize winner will be selected at the end of the promotion, based on the highest number of social media votes at catspride.com/couples to win $2,500.
• The contest winners will be showcased on the contest Facebook page and announced through social media and email.

Throughout the contest, participants will be encouraged to share their contest submissions via social media, and to solicit votes from their social media followers by directing them to the contest site catspride.com/couples.
