CauseNetwork Launches National Car Donation Month With The Car Karaoke Challenge

MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The holiday season is the most popular time for car donations, according to IAA.  Though over 700,000 vehicles are donated in the US yearly, according to the US General Accounting Office only ~2.7% of causes have their own car donation program.  CauseNetwork has changed that.  Supporters can now go to MyRideMyCause.org and choose ANY of the 1 Million+ registered US charities to benefit from their generous vehicle donations. 

CauseNetwork has also partnered with Avis, SocialDealer and Per4mance Auto to create a social media event celebrating this month's inaugural launch of National Car Donation Month.   There are two ways to participate & support your favorite cause:

1. Donate your car to your favorite cause through MyRideMyCause.org.  Complete a simple form and your car will be towed from the location you choose, lightly refurbished and sold at auction.  The net proceeds from the auction will be donated to your chosen cause and you receive a receipt for the maximum tax deduction allowed by law.
2. Create a car karaoke video naming your favorite cause and challenge others to do the same.  Then post it to social media with #MyRideMyCause.  Generous donations from businesses and celebrities will fund an end of month drawing and each video is an entry for your favorite cause.  The drawing will be held on January 2^nd & will award 10 causes a portion of the proceeds of those donations.
