CB2 Announces 'The Selby is in Your Place' Contest

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- CB2, the urban destination from Crate and Barrel, announces today the kick off of its biggest national contest to date, "CB2 The Selby is in Your Place," in partnership with renowned photographer, illustrator and blogger Todd Selby. Aimed to search for the most creative space in America that evokes the CB2 design aesthetic and lifestyle, this contest gives one lucky contestant the opportunity to receive a $10,000 CB2 Shop Card along with a private photo session with Todd Selby, to be featured on Todd's blog, TheSelby.com.

Launching Monday, August 16 and running through September 15, 2010, the CB2 The Selby is in Your Place contest introduces an exciting new element to the CB2 brand by interacting with its consumers in the digital space. CB2's Director, Marta Calle says, "Todd is a wonderful fit for our brand. His incredible creativity and ability to see great design in the most unusual places is definitely in synch with CB2's mission. We believe partnering with such an 'of-the-moment' artist will build buzz with our existing and new customers."

To participate, contestants will submit three photos of their most inspired living space by entering at www.cb2.com/TheSelby and provide a creative headline for the photos beginning today. Contestants need to spread the word to their friends and family in an effort to get as many votes as possible. The 50 entries with the highest number of public votes will advance to a final round where they will be judged by CB2 and Todd Selby on the originality and creativity of the entry, how well the space evokes the CB2 design aesthetic and lifestyle, and the entry's ranking during the public voting period.

The grand prize winner will receive a $10,000 CB2 Shop Card along with a private photo session of the winning space with Todd Selby, to be featured on TheSelby blog, CB2 blog and cb2.com. Additionally, contest prizes totaling more than $10,000 will be awarded to 2nd and 3rd place winners and 15 honorable mentions to splurge on their habitats. The top vote getter will also receive a $2,500 CB2 Shop Card. The winners will be announced Fall 2010 on cb2.com.
