CBS Outdoor and MTA Integrate Breaking Transit News Into Subway Entrance Signs

NEW YORK, March 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CBS Outdoor, one of the world's leading providers of out-of-home advertising, and the New York MTA, operator of one of the world's largest transit systems, have installed a new network of 100 state-of-the-art digital displays at New York City Transit's subway station entrances around Manhattan. The addition of these new digital networks vastly improves the ability to communicate with millions of passengers each day, and also showcases CBS Outdoor's innovative approach to the transit advertising business, where it has distinguished itself the industry leader.

Installation of the new digital Urban Panel network became fully operational on Feb. 28, consisting of 100 double-sided displays. Both sides include paid advertising messages, while the side facing subway entrances also includes passenger information including route changes and other important messages from the MTA.
