CCN Launches Intelligence Platform and National Intelligence Council

New national initiative brings together intelligence, expert perspective and cross sector leadership to help Canadian organizations identify the signals shaping technology, business and Canada's future.

OTTAWA, ON, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Canadian Cybersecurity Network (CCN) today announced the launch of CCN Intelligence and the CCN National Intelligence Council, a national initiative designed to identify, assess and share important technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital trust and business signals affecting Canada.

CCN Intelligence combines evidence, research, expert perspective and community insight to help organizations understand emerging developments and turn them into practical guidance for decision making.

At the centre of the initiative is the CCN National Intelligence Council, bringing together experienced leaders from technology, cybersecurity, insurance, law, government, academia and industry. Council members will examine priority signals, challenge assumptions and contribute perspective to strengthen the Trusted Guidance produced through CCN Intelligence.

Signals will be sourced from CCN's national community of more than 47,000 members and from experts, organizations, researchers and technology leaders. Through a structured intelligence process, CCN will assess credibility, significance and potential impact before developing intelligence, research, sector insights and leadership guidance.

At launch, CCN Intelligence will bring together emerging Signals, original intelligence and research, a national Expert Network, participating organizations and institutions, and initiatives including 100 Women. 100 Signals. It will also include CCN's National Cyber & Defence work, demonstrating how national priorities, expert perspective and emerging signals can be brought together around strategically important issues.

The National Intelligence Council will meet throughout the year to review priority issues and contribute perspective to a growing body of intelligence designed to help Canadian leaders make better decisions. Founding Council members and participating experts, organizations and institutions will be introduced as part of the launch.
