Celebrate National Bomb Pop® Day With an Explosive Snapchat Lens

LE MARS, Iowa, June 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of National Bomb Pop® Day, the iconic rocket-shaped ice pop, the Original Bomb Pop, is giving Snapchat users across the country the opportunity to enjoy the heat with an explosive Snapchat lens, for the first time.

The fun and quirky Snapchat lens, available for only 24 hours, turns users' faces into red, white and blue Original Bomb Pop rockets that take off with a pow into sunny skies and summer freedom. The interactive lens is triggered by facial movements and lets users fly around the sky like rockets, ending the playful animation with steam pouring out of users' ears.

The Bomb Pop Snapchat lens will automatically be available for all Snapchat users on June 29. But the fun doesn't stop there! For an additional 90 days, the interactive lens feature will be available for fans who scan the snap code on select mobile vending trucks, Instagram, bombpop.com, and a Bomb Pop-sponsored Pandora station. Users simply tap or long press on the snapcode within the Snapchat camera screen, and Snapchat will automatically recognize and apply the Snapchat lens.

In addition to the explosive Snapchat lens, custom Bomb Pop-themed sticker packs are available for download and use in mobile messaging apps. The Swyft sticker pack, featuring GIFs and static images, is available for download on the App Store for iMessage and Google Play.

National Bomb Pop Day was created in 2005 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Original Bomb Pop. The celebratory day takes place on the last Thursday of June, when fans and families are encouraged to enjoy the original red, white and blue ice pop.
