Celebrate the Holidays with Winter Programing at Chihuly Garden and Glass
'Tis the season for Winter White Tower with Golden Putti, VineArts and Seasonal Sundays
SEATTLE, Nov. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Chihuly Garden and Glass will launch a series of winter programing and activities just in time for the holidays. Programing and activities will feature a temporary holiday installation, VineArts and Seasonal Sundays. To deepen guests' understanding of the glassblowing process, Community Hot Shop will also return to the garden. Guests will enjoy live glassblowing demonstrations and Q&A sessions with community artists.
Chihuly Garden and Glass will kick off the holidays in the Glasshouse on Nov. 3 with Dale Chihuly's temporary installation Winter White Tower with Golden Putti. This 14-foot-tall tower, which made its debut in 2014, celebrates the Venetian influence of Chihuly's work and his adored Putti series.
The festivities continue with VineArts on Nov. 17 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests are invited to sip and savor their way through wine tastings and food pairings, while surrounded by the beauty of Dale Chihuly's 40 foot Glasshouse. Sample mystery wines from local wineries, enjoy live music and more. Although VineArts is strictly for adults, the exhibition will also host several family-friendly activities throughout the holidays.
Every Sunday from Nov. 27 through Dec. 18, Chihuly Garden and Glass will present Seasonal Sundays, which includes a local music performance and art activity in the Glasshouse from Noon to 2:30 p.m. Enjoy creating holiday keepsakes, including decorating winter-inspired postcards and more. On Nov. 10 from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., attend the exhibition's Chef Demonstrations at Collections Café and learn how to make beignets with honey and white chocolate espresso caramel. These fluffy, chewy beignets are one of Collections' most popular desserts and will be served with coffee and holiday cider. The chef demonstrations are designed to highlight the playful flavors leveraged for some of the restaurant's most popular dishes.
In addition, Chihuly Garden and Glass will welcome back the several of its most popular programs. Covering a variety of interests, guests are encouraged to explore Yoga Under Glass, Chihuly through the Lens and Specialty Tours and Gallery Talks throughout the winter season.
