Cellular One Presents Halo For Freedom Warrior Foundation A $35,500 Check

WAYNE, Pa., Oct. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MTPCS, LLC, d.b.a. Cellular One. The employees of Cellular One in Montana, Louisiana and Texas joined forces with their customers to support returning military soldiers. During the past several months Cellular One has set aside $10 for each new service activation as a donation for this worthy cause. Jonathan Foxman, President and CEO for Cellular One presented Halo for Freedom Warrior Foundation founder Dana Bowman with the check for $35,500.

Many local men and women from Cellular One's service areas have served in the military and the military serves an important role in the lives of so many Cellular One customers and their communities. During the fundraising campaign Cellular One offered special pricing on new cell phones to encourage customers to sign up and raise donations for Halo For Freedom Warrior Foundation. The foundation sponsors men and women who have recently returned and completed hospital stays, many of whom are single, double and triple amputees. The foundation sponsors a group of these heroes twice a year, all expenses paid for a weekend honoring them where they experience their abilities not disabilities.  The warriors get to drive NASCAR's, hunt from helicopters, sky dive and attend a special dinner where they get to meet some of their heroes such as Metal of Honor recipients and high ranking military officers, current and retired.  The foundation is focused on supporting returning military personnel as they cope with the physical, emotional, and psychological effects of serving our country abroad.
