Cengage Partners with Tatweer Company for Educational Services to Deliver Professional Development Program to English Language Teachers in Saudi Arabia
Agreement brings National Geographic Learning's ELTeach program to 1,000 Ministry of Education English teachers
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia and BOSTON, Nov. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cengage, an education and technology company, has signed an agreement with Tatweer Company for Educational Services (T4edu), to deliver professional development programs for Ministry of Education English teachers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Cengage will provide 1,000 teachers with online access to its National Geographic Learning ELTeach resource. The agreement was finalized at a signing event in Riyadh in November.

Cengage's National Geographic Learning ELTeach is an online, integrated professional development, assessment, and certificate program, supporting teachers of English through coursework and assessments in English-for-Teaching and Professional Knowledge for English Language Teaching (ELT). The program is aimed at improving the level of English for the classroom and focuses on online speaking and listening. The advanced level of the program is focused on classroom methodology and is designed to help teachers with lesson planning and preparation. Upon completion of the course, all teachers have the opportunity to take either the Test of English-for-Teaching (TEFT™) or the Test of Professional Knowledge (TPK™) assessments, developed by US-based Educational Testing Service (ETS).
