AMES, Iowa, Dec. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- In 2015, PowerFilm™, Inc. proudly announced the release of the LightSaver, the first in our new consumer driven LightSaver line of products. PowerFilm will be providing the media and attendees of the upcoming Consumer Electronic's Show (CES) a sneak peak of two additional products in the line, the Pocket and the Max, scheduled for release in early 2016.
The LightSaver line of products provides consumers with a green solution to remote power needs and is perfect for providing energy for a variety of electronic devices including cell phones, tablets, and cameras. In addition, PowerFilm products are manufactured in the United States using the amorphous silicon technology, making the panels incredibly flexible. As a result of using this technology, PowerFilm products provide the consumer with a number of advantages over products using competing solar technologies.
PowerFilm outperforms the competing technologies in low-light situations. Other solar technologies require direct sun to perform. When shade covers even a portion of the panel, they can be rendered entirely ineffective. PowerFilm's solar technology does not have this limitation.
