CH2M partners with Catalyst on initiative to accelerate diversity, inclusion and gender equality in the workplace

As part of the initiative, CH2M, a global engineering and consulting firm that leads in the delivery of sustainable development solutions for infrastructure, joins more than 40 high-profile CEOs and top industry leaders to continue to drive change for gender equality at work.

"Catalyst CEO Champions For Change is bringing together business leaders from around the world to help accelerate gender equality," said CH2M Chair and CEO Jacqueline Hinman. "We continually need to raise the bar, holding ourselves publicly accountable for progress and doing everything we can to build workplaces that work for everyone. As CEOs and Chairmen, we have experienced the advantages of having women on our Boards. We believe, it is important to have a board that is representative of our customers, stakeholders and employees."

Research shows that while women have made some nominal gains, they still see unequal representation on the boards of Fortune 500 companies. Only 25 percent of S&P 500 executives and only about 20 percent of S&P 500 board directors are women. The Catalyst Champions For Change are not only making bold organizational and personal commitments to continue to accelerate inclusion, but they will also transparently report on their companies' collective progress.

It's time for more rapid change – and that requires a bold stand by business leaders. CH2M is committed to making room for everyone to succeed at work, which will help improve innovation, boost performance and energize employee engagement.
