Chadbourne Elects Five to Partnership

NEW YORK, Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The international law firm of Chadbourne & Parke LLP announced today that Amy E. D'Agostino, Clara Krivoy, John J. Marciano III, Keith M. Rosen and Paul J. Tanck have been elected to the Firm's partnership.

Amy E. D'Agostino joined the Firm in 2003 and currently represents clients, their executives and high net worth individuals across a wide array of industries, including pharmaceuticals, copper (representation of the leading trade association for the global copper industry), professional services, banking and insurance.  Her corporate experience spans a number of disciplines including compliance, governance, restructurings, securities, intellectual property, financings, and joint ventures.  Ms. D'Agostino also advises on antitrust compliance for trade associations, anti-corruption (FCPA and UK Bribery Act) and compliance with the Investment Trade in Services Survey Act.

Ms. D'Agostino, 37, is active in the Firm's pro bono program and is a Board Member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  She earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Skidmore College in 1997 and her J.D. from Pace University School of Law in 2003.  Ms. D'Agostino is based in Chadbourne's New York office.

Clara Krivoy represents both domestic and international clients in a vast array of corporate and securities matters.  She has developed a particular focus on creating value for private clients with cross-border legal needs, managing a broad portfolio of corporate, regulatory, tax planning, trusts & estates, IP, real estate, private equity and hedge funds and contentious matters.  Her clients include companies and high-net-worth individuals located in the U.S., Spain and throughout Latin America. (Chadbourne is the only law firm ranked in all six categories in the 2013 edition of Chambers Latin America.)  Ms. Krivoy's industry experience encompasses financial services, energy, telecommunications and media, hospitality, real estate, consumer products and professional services, as well as non-profit entities. 

Ms. Krivoy, 43, is President of the Venezuelan American Association of the U.S.  She received her law degree from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in 1992, and her M.C.J. and LL.M. from New York University School of Law in 1993 and 1994 respectively.  Ms. Krivoy is resident in the Firm's New York office.

John J. Marciano III advises clients on all aspects of independent power projects as a member of Chadbourne's project finance group, which the prestigious Chambers directory ranks as a top-tier practice globally.  The projects on which Mr. Marciano advises range from small distributed generation renewable power installations to multi-billion dollar utility-scale plants.  His advice focuses on finding practical paths forward in complicated mergers, acquisitions, tax structuring and involvement of foreign investors.  Chadbourne's project finance group is recognized as a thought leader in the industry and Mr. Marciano, a frequent speaker and writer, and the editor of two reference guides on renewable power incentives, has been one of the group's most active contributors.

Mr. Marciano, 33, was named by International Law Office as the 2012 recipient of the Client Choice Award for United States - Corporate Tax.  He earned a B.A., cum laude, from Canisius College, his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his tax LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.  Mr. Marciano is based in Chadbourne's Washington, D.C. office.

Keith M. Rosen rejoined Chadbourne last February from the United States Attorney's Office in Wilmington, Delaware, where he served as Chief of the Criminal Division. He joins a growing White Collar Defense and Regulatory Investigations and Litigation practice group which has added three other partners since 2011.  Since returning to the Firm, Mr. Rosen has drawn on his over ten years of experience in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) as an experienced trial and appellate advocate to serve many of the Firm's leading clients, including those in the energy and consumer products sectors and in Latin America.  In the past few months, Mr. Rosen has helped a number of corporations and their top executives navigate sensitive Congressional investigations, including testimony during subcommittee hearings.  He has also advised domestic and international clients on matters involving securities fraud, export control, anti-corruption and anti-money laundering issues.

Mr. Rosen, 41, has worked extensively on matters involving federal law enforcement agencies, the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as other federal and state regulatory agencies, both as a prosecutor and as defense counsel. Pivotal issues were financial institution fraud, securities fraud, public corruption, export enforcement, tax fraud and economic espionage. Mr. Rosen was also a member of DOJ's Securities and Commodities Fraud Working Group. He earned his A.B., magna cum laude, from Brown University in 1993 and his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1997.  Mr. Rosen is resident in the Firm's Washington, D.C. office.

Paul J. Tanck has been involved in litigating, licensing and developing IP portfolios in a wide range of technologies extending across computer software and hardware, integrated circuits, debit/credit card technologies, graphical user interfaces, industrial control, financial instruments, medical devices and the entertainment industry. He has litigated patents at trial and on appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  This past month, Mr. Tanck won a sizeable jury verdict for Rockwell Automation, a longstanding Firm client, for patent infringement involving the client's industrial control technology.  His clients include start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Tanck, 33, received his B.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2001 and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2004.  Mr. Tanck is based in Chadbourne's New York office.
