Chairish Introduces New Online Shopping Event: The Chairish Auction
Debut auction will feature a curated mix of personal décor items from beloved tastemaker and designer, Emily Henderson
SAN FRANCISCO, April 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Chairish, the celebrated resale marketplace for chic vintage décor and furniture, is partnering with noted tastemaker, blogger and designer Emily Henderson to launch its first-ever Chairish Auction*, which will be an ongoing shopping series on the site.
Through this new feature, Emily will be selling items from her personal collection of vintage paintings, textiles, rugs, décor and furniture, all priced with a starting bid of $1. This is an opportunity for design enthusiasts who know and love Emily's amazing style to score one of her treasures for a great price. Selected items for sale will be available to preview on Chairish one day prior to the auction start, which opens on Tuesday, April 19th at 5:00 am PT and ends on Thursday, April 21th at 7:00 pm PT.
"With my growing business and family, it was time that my children's space took priority over my ever-growing collection of furniture and décor. Chairish's new auction format let me quickly list and sell some of those hard-to-part-with items to people who care about design, want to score great finds, and whom I know will love my items as much as I do," said Emily.
Designed as a complement to its existing marketplace, the Chairish Auction is the perfect solution for sellers in the midst of a move, redecorating, remodeling or an estate sale project. The Chairish Auction allows them to sell their items quickly and easily. In turn, buyers are able to scoop up one-of-a-kind treasures at an appealing price point.
As always on Chairish, logistics are a snap. At the auction close, Chairish will manage pick up and delivery of the items from the seller to the buyer. Shipping is paid for the buyer and the delivery fee is communicated upfront.
