The Park signs electricity contract, Champion Energy signs marquee sponsorship
HOUSTON, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Scott Fordham, president and chief executive officer of Champion Energy Services (www.championenergyservices.com) has secured a contract to provide electric energy to Sam Houston Race Park (www.shrp.com), Houston's premier racing, dining and entertainment destination. The 24 -month contract goes into effect in late-April 2010.

As part of the agreement, Champion Energy is also aligning with Sam Houston Race Park as a multi-year marquee sponsor of the 300-acre entertainment venue. As part of the sponsorship, Champion Energy will have a significant on-site marketing presence, premier signage placement and ongoing recognition at events, including presenting sponsor of the July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza, title sponsor of the annual New Year's Eve celebration and certain race and concert event naming sponsorships, among other high-value components.
