Chandler Chicco Companies Receives Top Honors at 2011 CLIO Healthcare Awards
Brings Home the Gold for Cause-Related PR Campaign, Two Silver Awards for Social Media PR and Special Event Campaigns
NEW YORK, Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Chandler Chicco Companies, part of inVentiv Health, Inc., today announced that three of its agencies won top honors at the third-annual CLIO Healthcare Awards, one of the world's most recognized award competitions for advertising, design and interaction. The awards were announced on November 10 in New York City.
Biosector 2 was awarded the Gold in Public Relations – Cause-Related category for its work with Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc., on the campaign DRIVE4COPD. The campaign was designed to find the "missing millions" of people who don't know that they may have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), the fourth leading cause of death in America. This landmark public health initiative has marshalled celebrities and a powerful group of entertainment, sports and healthcare organizations to encourage the public to get screened for COPD and take action. Partners include the Country Music Association, NASCAR COPD Alliance, American Association of Respiratory Care, COPD Foundation and the US COPD Coalition.

Chandler Chicco Agency was honored with the Silver in Public Relations – Special Event category for its Diabetes Close to the Heart campaign. An innovative program on behalf of Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Diabetes Close to the Heart used the power of theater and film to bring to life the challenges healthcare professionals and patients face in the management of type 2 diabetes.
