NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Chardan Capital Markets, LLC., a privately held investment banking firm announced today that Michael E. Marrus has been appointed as "Managing Director of M&A and Corporate Advisory Services for The Special Equities Group" effective September 10, 2015.
Mr. Marrus has spent the last six years performing M&A and Advisory Services for Emerging Growth Equities, Dominick and Dominick, and Merriman Capital. Prior to 2009, Michael served as Managing Director of Collins Stewart LLC., a British bank that acquired C.E. Unterberg, Towbin. Michael spent more than ten years at C. E. Unterberg, Towbin, and was the Head of Investment Banking when the firm was acquired by Collins Stewart in 2007. Before joining C.E. Unterberg, Towbin in 1998, he was a Principal and Founding Member of Fieldstone Private Capital Group, an investment banking firm specializing in corporate, project and structured finance. Previously, he was employed at Bankers Trust Company, initially in the Private Equity and Merchant Banking Groups and subsequently in BT Securities, the securities affiliate of Bankers Trust. He has been a Director of Arotech Corporation, since October 2007.
