NEW YORK, Nov. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Charles B. Belser, PMP, a veteran project manager with more than 40 years of experience in industrial engineering and overseeing major transportation facility projects, has joined STV as a vice president of transportation facilities and senior project manager. He will report directly to STV vice president Donald Harris and will be based in the firm's Baltimore office.
Belser will be responsible for directing major maintenance facility projects and leading business development efforts for the firm's Mid-Atlantic transit clients. He is currently managing the design of major rail maintenance facility projects for Virginia Railway Express, and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority and is overseeing the design for a Bay Area Rapid Transit facility.
Belser's expertise in industrial engineering and processes plays a key role in his approach to transportation facility projects for agencies, railroads and public entities throughout the U.S. and internationally. In addition to his current portfolio, he has experience supporting operations and maintenance facilities in Washington, D.C., Chicago and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Belser has worked for several leading architectural and engineering firms, major corporations and railroads, including Amtrak. He earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering technology from Miami University and is a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, the Project Management Institute and the Institute of Asset Management. He previously worked as a project manager for STV from 1996 to 2002.
