Charles D. Fraser, Jr. M.D. to present at two prestigious conferences on quality outcomes in pediatric heart diseases

HOUSTON, Oct. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Dr. Charles D. Fraser Jr., surgeon-in-chief of Texas Children's Hospital and professor of surgery and pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, will speak this October at the Children's Hospital Association (CHA) Executive Dialogue program and again at The International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement to explore and discuss the latest strategic imperatives facing pediatric hospitals including a key focus on driving and tracking quality outcomes.

Fraser will be one of three participants included in a panel discussion at the CHA Executive Dialogue program addressing the central tenets of value-based health care delivery, including integration of care, measuring outcomes and primary or preventive care. Fraser's presentation will focus on the example of integrated health care through his development of Texas Children's Heart Center and focus on outcomes measurement in children with heart disease. He will highlight the importance of both integrated care and outcomes measurement as key components to delivering the best possible care to patient families. The CHA Executive Dialogue program will be held Oct. 30 to 31 in New York and CEOs and senior executives from 43 free-standing children's hospitals throughout the United States will be in attendance.

This inaugural conference will be held from Oct. 31 through Nov. 1 in Cambridge, Mass.
