Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County Airport First to Launch Holiday Promotion with Health and Travel App

Schulz – Sonoma County Airport (STS) has expanded flight schedules and destinations so more travelers now experience the ease of using a small airport inside Sonoma Wine Country. Starting with the Christmas travel season, Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County Airport will embark on a passenger service promotion known as "STS Cares". At the center of the promotion is a new health and travel iPhone app, Exigency.

Travelers who follow directions to download the free app will have at their fingertips the location of the nearest health care providers, clinics to emergency rooms, and local pharmacy hours of operation, wherever they travel in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. The Exigency app also stores personal health insurance, physician and health provider information for quick access in an emergency.

"Holiday travel is especially important and comes at a time when there can be obstacles of weather and seasonal cold and flu concerns," says Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County Airport Manager Jon Stout. "We see Exigency as a way to assist passengers with resources to help them stay healthier while traveling."

Exigency was developed by Sonoma County-based PreXa Media. The app saves time getting help when emergencies occur, but many Exigency users find it useful to locate over-the-counter medications or to arrange prescription refills whether they travel by air or land.
