Charleston Fashion Week® Announces Saturday Night Fashion Finale Line-Up
Fashion Journalist, Host, and Author Louise Roe To Emcee and Leading Designer Carlos Campos To Be Featured Designer
CHARLESTON, S.C., Jan. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Baker Motor Company Charleston Fashion Week® (CFW), one of the leading fashion weeks in the U.S., announces that fashion journalist Louise Roe will emcee the Saturday Night Fashion Finale on March 21, 2015 and Designer Carlos Campos will be that evening's Featured Designer. Saturday evening includes the finals of the Emerging Designer Competition: East presented by Benefitfocus, as well as the selection of the Grand Prize winner by an all-star fashion panel lead by Fern Mallis.
Louise Roe is a TV host, author, and fashion journalist. She is also the host of TLC's new series Style by Jury premiering February 20th. Roe returned for the fourth season of Plain Jane on MTV International, a reality makeover show which airs in 66 countries and also aired on the Style network. In 2013, Roe also hosted NBC's hit competition show, Fashion Star, and co-hosted Style network's first-ever LIVE show, Style Pop. Roe has contributed to and been featured in numerous publications, including Glamour magazine (where she served as Fashion Editor-at-Large), People StyleWatch where she is currently a contributor on their style council, Huffington Post, InStyle UK, Conde Nast Traveler, and Vogue.com, among others. Roe's first book, "Front Roe: How to be a Leading Lady in your Own Life" will be released on April 7th featuring insider tips and secrets into the world of Fashion, TV, Beauty and Lifestyle that Louise has compiled with her extensive experience from being in the industry.
Born in Honduras, Carlos Campos grew up in a design household, inspired by his father, a master tailor. It was here that Carlos decided to follow in his father's footsteps to become a fashion designer. At 13, Campos left Honduras and walked to New York City to pursue his own version of the American Dream. After studying fashion design at The Fashion Institute of Technology, Campos embarked on a successful career as a design consultant for such brands as Zara and PvH and as a Broadway costume designer for such productions as Jersey Boys, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Graduate. In 2007, he launched his namesake brand, Carlos Campos NYC. The brand's modern take on "classic American style…with a Latin twist" immediately earned him the respect and accolades of the U.S. and Latin American fashion communities. In 2009 he was awarded The Fashion Group International's Rising Star for Menswear. In 2011, Campos was a top-ten finalist for the esteemed CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, a great honor as he was the first Latino-American Menswear designer to have been nominated as a fund finalist. In 2013, he was awarded the Vanidades Icon of Style Award. Campos is a favorite of both consumers and the media and is regularly featured in GQ, WWD, Details, Flaunt, Esquire, Fashionisto, and Essential Homme.
